Israel and America: The Best of Both Worlds
In 2015 Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was invited to speak before the American Congress about the dangers of Iran. Knowing what it would mean to Israel if Iran acquired nuclear weapons, he agreed to warn the world about the havoc a nuclear armed Ayatollah Caliphate would wreak on mankind.
Bibi was forewarned by the leader of America not to kick him in his own backyard. The president at the time was not a member of the party that controlled Congress. Bibi was warned: If he were to follow through, the American president would do everything in his power to drop Mr. Netanyahu in the forthcoming Israeli elections, 2 weeks later.
Netanyahu knows what it means to sacrifice for his people. In his youth, he took a bullet for his nation while fighting for the country. He didn't let anything get in the way of our security then, and he certainly wouldn't let anything stop him now.
On March 3, 2015, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of the American Congress about the existential threat of Iranian nuclear weapons to all humanity. Here is some of what he said:
". . . America's founding document promises life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Iran's founding document pledges death, tyranny, and the pursuit of jihad. There's no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don't share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone.
When it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy is your enemy. The greatest dangers facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons. To defeat ISIS and let Iran get nuclear weapons would be to win the battle, but lose the war. We can't let that happen . . ."
The American leader followed through on his warning and did everything in his power to bring Mr. Netanyahu down. I saw it. The amount of money poured into the Prime Ministers opponent's was very obvious.
Just like he did forty years ago, our leader took a bullet for his country: The Prime Minister of Israel was willing to lose his job to protect his people. In the words of many, “the man is addicted to being Prime Minister.” He was willing to give up something he loves most in order to protect the people of Israel.
He refused to let 6 million Israeli Jews hang out to dry and took on the most powerful man on earth 2 weeks before a close election just to protect his people. That’s a leader. That’s the Israeli leader.
About 8 weeks later, it was uncovered that an American Secretary of State and eventual presidential candidate, along with her former President husband, prostituted the public trust for money.
They sold out their country by contracting sensitive military tasks to enemy nations. Their only requirement was that the foreign leaders give money to their foundation.
With G-d's help, good won out over evil. In a stunning upset, Mr. Netanyahu won his bid for re-election, defying every poll which projected a huge victory for his opponent. 18 months later, despite all polls indicating a big victory for this former Secretary of State, another man emerged as leader of the free world.
A leader, like our leader, determined to set the world right.
