There have been 2 famous protests right outside the Defense Ministry Headquarters. One was undertaken by Yoni Zarka, a French immigrant aged of 34. The other were by Navon Kaplan and Felipe Rodriguez, immigrants from Texas and Australia, ages 28 and 27 respectively.

They all camped in front of the Ministry for weeks to put pressure on the IDF to enlist them into active service.

On the same day when the right wing party Jewish Home proudly announced that it had more women running on its national ticket than any of the other parties, a religious woman became the second female in IAF history to become an Israeli fighter pilot.

How is it that the ones clamoring for murdering innocent people are those who have sworn an oath to preserve human life?

Here our doctors do all that they can to save people regardless of race, creed, color, background, political belief, even crime. Dr. Aryeh Eldad, a Member of Knesset from the far right-wing National Union party has disclosed that he has treated wounded terrorists.

We acknowledge that he breathes into our lungs 20 breaths per minute, pumps our heart 100 times per minute to send blood to all parts of the body. We thank Him for the 10 trillion electrical connections that make up our brain, and the hundreds of trillions of cells inside our body that makes everything function.

We thank Him for our strength and vigor, it is a special blessing. We usually recite it in a whisper. In office buildings throughout the country, as well as all types of buildings, the prayer itself is pinned to the bathroom door, or the wall right next to it so anyone can recite the prayer.

Some people recite it in a clear, crisp voice for all to hear. Everybody in the office, secular and religious, will recite "Amen!"

Some may say that the "hi-tech" coastline of Israel is not as holy as the rest of the country. But office parties are held for holidays like Passover and Rosh HaShannah.

There is always one person asked to give a Dvar Torah, to explain the Torah commandment to observe this holiday. All my life I got used to "no religion" in the office, in social situations. To hear a socially acceptable Torah lesson on the holiday we are all about to celebrate in a Tel Aviv hi-tech company tells you that the holiness of Israel spreads to all its corners.

It also tells you that whether observant, thinking about it, traditional, or secular, you can comfortably connect to G-d anywhere, and anytime without any pretenses.
